About Me
I currently studying at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago in my fourth year. I am studying to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with Emphasis in Art Education and am projected to graduate in May 2025.
In my practice I explore many different mediums that document my relationships with the world around me and the people around me. I am interested in what influences me. I am finding what I want to say and am using art to respond to the world around me. I enjoy including surrealist elements in my work and exploring dreams and memories to create questions of reality that insight self-reflection. I am a multimedia artist and I enjoy drawing, painting, photography, film photography, ceramics, wood, sculpture, collage, printmaking, sewing/textile elements, and video projection.

Conceptually my work shows the human experience. I use a lot of nature motifs in my work to memorialize nature. I am really interested in the environment and issues surrounding the anthropocene. I also chose hands as symbols of real life in my work because almost all of the memories I keep close to my heart have to do with sensory moments with my hands. I am also interested in human touch.
I gravitate towards portraits in every medium I work with because of the vast diversity of subjects, emotion, and perspective. I am intrigued by the idea that as humans we all experience happiness and pain, but it is perceived differently by each of us regardless of our gender, race, and identity. I love capturing raw feelings or provocative images. Art is the therapeutic outlet that allows me to let go of my emotions and trap them to be viewed in a beautiful way and it gives me the opportunity to digest and respond to the world.
